I will dominate 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex twice world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
